KAYAK & BEACH FITNESS

Possibly the most beautiful workout in the world and also the ultimate upper body with core fitness workout on the water, then a lower body blast on a remote beach. We paddle all year around - don't be afraid of the winter months, the water temp never gets below 19 degrees and we mostly finish our sessions wearing singlets and shorts, with a swim. It does wonders for your immune system, ramps up the metabolism, and leaves you feeling awesome! It's also knee and pelvic floor friendly.

Manly Harbour offers crystal clear, amethyst water with local residents including turtles, dolphins and  penguins - we are awaiting our turn to see a whale, but it is not far off.

We provide kayaks, life jackets, paddles, remote beach permits and an emergency rescue boat is always on hand for your peace of mind.

Communication

Please ensure that I have your mobile details as I will communicate weather conditions and any changes via group text message the evening prior to the session.

Sessions will be cancelled based on wind and weather forecasts with safety always as the first priority.

Rules and Regs:

It is a busy harbour! Please follow the instructions of the instructor-it is for your safety. Maritime Authorities have strict rules involving ferry crossing positions and landing permission and non compliance can result in fines.

At the finish of each session, please help carry your kayak up the stairs. I will do the rest of the packing away for you.

Please ensure you sign in before paddling each time. This is a legal document and forms the basis for our insurance and other permits.

What to Wear:

  • In cooler months, thermal leggings will keep you toastie (although I wear boardies all year round).

  • Wear layers, with a spray jacket just in case.

  • Old running shoes give us plenty of options on land.

  • Bring a warm dry top and socks and shoes for afterwards

  • Bring water, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses

  • Facebook Basic Square
